ORKA SQUAT CHALLENGE
Official Rules & Guidelines
The ORKA Squat Challenge is a rep-based international competition designed to measure lower-body strength, endurance, and technical consistency. All participants must follow the official standards below to ensure fair competition, accurate verification, and eligibility for rankings, medals, and prize money.
1. Eligibility & Categories
Participants must register under the correct division:
- Age Categories: U14, U18, Open, 35+
- Gender Categories: Male & Female in each age group
Providing incorrect age or gender information may result in disqualification.
2. Equipment & Setup Requirements
To maintain global consistency:
- Flat and stable surface required
- Athlete must wear proper athletic attire
- Standard athletic shoes allowed
- No supportive gear that enhances performance
- A clearly visible timer must appear in the video
- Camera must capture full body throughout the attempt
No external assistance is allowed.
3. Official Squat Standard (Strict Form)
Each squat rep must meet the following criteria:
- 1. Start standing upright with knees and hips fully extended
- 2. Descend until hips reach at least parallel to the knees (thighs parallel to ground or below)
- 3. Heels must remain on the ground
- 4. Knees must remain aligned (no excessive inward collapse)
- 5. Return to full standing position with hips and knees locked out
Only full-depth squats with complete lockout will be counted.
Half squats or incomplete reps will not be counted.
4. Time Format
- Official duration (for example: 60 seconds or 2 minutes) will be announced.
- Athletes must perform the maximum number of correct reps within the time limit.
- Timer must remain visible throughout the video.
5. Start & End Rules
Start:
Timer begins when athlete initiates first downward squat movement.
End:
Time stops when official time expires.
Reps not completed before buzzer will not count.
6. Rep Counting & Validation
Reps may be rejected if:
- Depth is not reached (above parallel)
- Heels lift off the ground
- No full standing lockout
- Excessive pause or assistance
Final rep count is determined after official video review.
7. Video Submission Guidelines
To qualify for ranking:
- Full body must remain visible throughout the attempt
- Timer must be clearly visible
- Video must be continuous (no cuts or edits)
- Proper lighting required
- Camera angle must clearly show squat depth
Edited or unclear videos will be rejected.
8. Attempts Policy
- Multiple attempts allowed during competition window
- Only best verified score appears on leaderboard
- Weekly performance tracking available
9. Live Ranking System
After verification, scores update in real time across:
- Age Category Ranking
- Gender Ranking
- National Ranking
- World Ranking
Only verified scores are eligible for medals and prize money.
10. Disqualification Rules
Participants may be disqualified for:
- False category declaration
- Edited or manipulated videos
- Incomplete squat depth
- External assistance
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
ORKA maintains strict fair-play standards.
Awards & Recognition
- Top 3 athletes in each division receive official medals
- Prize money distributed according to official structure
- Digital participation certificates issued to verified athletes
