Orka Wave Battle
Rules
ORKA Wave Battle is a high-intensity battle rope competition designed to test endurance, power, rhythm, and control under fatigue. Athletes generate continuous rope waves over a fixed time using standardized equipment, with every movement measured and verified for fair competition.
COMPETITION FORMAT
Main Format: 3 Minutes Max Waves
- Continuous effort for 3 minutes
- Athlete may pause (timer continues running)
- Goal: Achieve maximum valid wave count
SCORING SYSTEM
Final Score = Total Valid Waves in 3 Minutes
Counting Method:
- Left wave = 1 rep
- Right wave = 1 rep
Left + Right = 2 reps
EQUIPMENT STANDARDS
To ensure fairness, all participants must use:
- Rope Length: 40 ft (standard)
- Rope Thickness: 1.5 – 2 inches
- Anchor: Fixed and stable
- Surface: Non-slippery
SETUP REQUIREMENTS
- Athlete positioned 1.5 – 2 meters from anchor
- Rope must remain fully visible and extended
- No forward/backward movement during attempt
- Camera must capture full rope + athlete
VIDEO SUBMISSION RULES
- Single-take video (no cuts or edits)
- Full body and rope visible at all times
- Timer visible in frame
- Clear view of wave movement
Only verified videos will be accepted for ranking
VALID REP (COUNTS AS 1 WAVE)
A wave is valid only if:
- Rope creates a full visible wave to the anchor
- Rope remains tight (no slack)
- Clear up-down motion is performed
- Continuous rhythm is maintained
NO REP (INVALID WAVE)
A wave will NOT count if:
- Partial or weak wave
- Rope does not reach anchor
- Excessive slack in rope
- Irregular or broken movement
- Athlete stops for extended periods
TRAINING PARTNER RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide standard rope setup
- Ensure safety and proper technique
- Record and upload attempts
- Maintain fair competition environment
DISTRICT AMBASSADOR RESPONSIBILITY
Verify:
- Wave quality
- Rep count accuracy
- Equipment standards
Final authority on performance approval
SAFETY GUIDELINES
- Warm-up before attempt
- Maintain proper grip and posture
- Stop immediately if form breaks or fatigue becomes unsafe
- Use appropriate footwear

DISQUALIFICATION
Participants may be disqualified for:
- Edited or manipulated videos
- Incorrect equipment usage
