Raid Points: A raider entering the opponent’s half and successfully touching a defender — 1 point per valid touch. Bonus Points: If there are 6 or more defenders on court, and the raider crosses the “bonus line” with correct stance — a bonus point is awarded. Tackle (Defence) Points: If defenders successfully stop the raider (tackle), the defending team gets 1 point (even if multiple defenders are involved). All-Out: If a raider’s team eliminates all defenders (i.e. all defenders are “out”), the raiding team gets 2 extra points, and the opponent team is revived to full strength. A raider is declared out (i.e. “self-out” or “out”) if any of the following happen: Impact Raid is an OKL‑exclusive feature. Each team gets one Impact Raid per half. In an Impact Raid: This rule is designed to create high‑pressure, game-changing moments. OKL uses a “Golden Clash” tie-breaker: Challenges can be used to dispute: touch validity, boundary violations, bonus‑line disputes, and timing disputes. If a challenge is unsuccessful, the team loses the challenge. If successful, they keep the challenge. OKL aims to make kabaddi more fast‑paced and spectator friendly by introducing timed raids (30-second shot clock), revivals, impact raids, power‑plays — adding strategic depth beyond traditional format. It balances competitive integrity & entertainment value, while retaining core kabaddi elements like raids, tackles, all-outs, team composition, and objective of scoring more points. Details
- Raider steps out of the boundary without valid contact.
- Raider fails to complete the raid within the allowed time (i.e. violates the “breath/chant / shot clock” rule).
- Raider is caught by defenders (tackled).
- All raid points are doubled (×2).
- If defenders stop the raider during an Impact Raid, the defending team gets a bonus tackle point (+1).
- Impact Raid must be declared before crossing the midline.
- A 3‑minute extra round where each team gets equal raids.
- If still tied after that, the match goes to a Sudden Death Raid to decide the winner.
- Age requirement: player must be 18 years or older by a certain cut-off date (for example: by 31 March 2026, per current rulebook).
- Medical & fitness clearance prior to participation.
- Proper registration, including government ID, signed player registration form; for new players — video trials and contract approval with team management.
- Players must display sportsmanship, respect teammates, referees & audience; wear only approved OKL gear.
- Fouls/violations include jersey‑pulling, illegal holds, holding raider after whistle, arguing with referees, offensive language, or charging without intent to retreat.
- Penalties: 1‑point penalty to offending team; 30‑second temporary suspension for misconduct; or red‑card (match ban) for dangerous or unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Random anti‑doping tests at any time — zero tolerance for banned substances; violations may result in season‑long bans.
- Use of league‑approved protective gear; immediate suspension if a player is injured.
- First‑aid & medical staff available courtside; concussion protocol mandatory for head injuries.
